Araw Awards to look on the bright side

Despite the budget cuts, the calamities and everything else, Araw Awards Staging Committee Co-chair Don Sevilla revealed that not only will the awards night on November 21st start with the traditional Agency Parade, but the program will also include the long-awaited answer to the "Ano sa tingin mo?" TV and web mystery.

In a memo to all participating agencies and companies, Sevilla wrote that after all the environmental, social and economic instability, "there has got to be a silver lining amidst these clouds of doom and doubt. And so for this year’s parade theme, it’s best for the industry to LOOK AT THE BRIGHT SIDE!

To keep the parade at a reasonable length, Sevilla limited each parade group to seven people each, and only one representative will ascend the stage. Contraptions, a major trend during the last AdCon, should not be wider than 3.5 feet, given the 4-foot wide aisle.
