At the AdCon, what’s red, blue and green? The adobo jeepney!

With environmental concerns so close to the hearts of AdCon organizers and delegates, adobo magazine and Bates 141 are teaming up to provide the most eco-friendly shuttle in AdCon.

Painted with blue "environmental" motif and topped with "adobo clears the air", the adobo jeepney promotes the Formula Juan initiative, a collaboration between Bates 141, Maxus, WWF Philippines and the Ecos Foundation. For PhP250,000, advertisers subsidize the conversion of diesel jeepneys into LPG-fueled vehicles, which are repainted to carry their brand message–a green transit ad, if you will. Touting "biyahe sa malinis na hangin", each converted jeepney on the road means less air pollution for the city’s inhabitants. < width="250" vspace="2" hspace="2" height="223" align="left" src=" 18112009408(1). As of October, Abbott Laboratories has so far ordered six Formula Juan jeepneys, which have also been rebranded Cecon, to ply routes in Makati and Alabang. The adobo jeepney will be the seventh Formula Juan jeepney on the road.

From November 18 to 21,  the adobo jeepney joins the fleet of AdCon shuttles. It picks up and deposits delegates at drop off points all throughout the freeport, except on the afternoon and evening of November 20 when it serves as the "limousine" for adobo’s exclusive yacht party.

So to all delegates looking to lighten their carbon footprint, not to mention a free and quick ride, flag down that red and blue jeepney that’s all green.
