Eight marketing talents honored at the 6th Young Market Masters Awards

PHILIPPINES, FEBRUARY 22, 2011 – The 6th Young Market Masters Awards (YMMA) awarded eight of the best young Filipinos in marketing and entrepreneurship last February 17, 2011. 
 
Winsley Royce Bangit, Consumer Marketing Manager of Globe Telecom and Pamela Takai, Marketing Director for Kraft Foods Philippines were awarded for Marketing Management. Bangit is the man behind the TM Diskarte SIM in 2007, which was the first SIM to be priced below P50. Takai was behind the relaunch of Tang, and the introduction of Tiger Energy Biscuits, and helped form the Directors Marketing Leadership Council.
 
Roel Chan, AVP-Marketing of Primer Group of Companies was honored for Advocacy Marketing for his work on ROX. 
 
Joseph Emmanuel dela Cruz and Victor Hugo Jr. are this year’s awardees for Brand Management. Dela Cruz is Global Brand Manager of Olay for Procter & Gamble Asia and one of the key figures behind the launch of Olay skincare. Unilever Asia’s Hugo is considered the pioneer of the CLEAR Men franchise.
 
P&G Country Brand PR Manager Anna Lourdes Legarda is awarded for her work on Marketing Communications-Public Relations for her work with Olay Body Age Defying Soap. She also jumpstarted Olay’s growth with the television special reunion of the F Girls.
 
Ma. Belinda Reyes of GlaxoSmithKline Philippines is awarded for Brand Management for her work with Avamys, a molecule for the Intra-Nasal Steroids market that serves as a relief for patients suffering Allergic Rhinitis. Reyes headed pre-launch activities of Avamys and developed its pricing strategy for the drug to be made more affordable.
 
Jonathan Joson, Strategic Planning Director at Media Contacts Philippines, was awarded for Digital Marketing. Joson was behind the DOT’s "Awesome Philippines" global campaign and spearheaded highly successful digital efforts for Dove, Closeup and BPI.
 
 
The YMMAs are organized annually by Mansmith and Fielders Inc. to make way for marketing-oriented Filipinos, honor achievers in marketing, and inspire young people to innovate and be excellent brand builders.
