OPEN brings in Papa John’s pizza chain and Allied Bank credit cards

PHILIPPINES, FEBRUARY 2011 – Lowe & Partners’ recently launched retail marketing agency in the Philippines, OPEN, has announced two additional accounts for its client roster, opening its doors to Papa John’s pizza chain and Allied Bank Corporation Credit Cards.

OPEN won the three-way pitch for one of the top favorite pizza chains in the US, Papa John’s, versus DentsuIndio, Blue Bottle and Workshop One. OPEN began its work for the restaurant chain last November 2010, in time for the opening of the first Papa John’s branch at the Robinson’s Galleria Veranda. Since then, OPEN Philippines has continually been doing work for the chain’s aggressive roll out, with already three stores to date.

Allied Bank Corporation on the other hand, got acquainted with OPEN through a trial project for their successful Allied Bank Mabuhay Miles Mastercard Balance Transfer campaign late last year. The agency was awarded Allied Bank’s entire Credit Card business shortly after.

“OPEN is engineered for what brands face today as market realities, an increasingly fast paced, choices filed
environment of constantly fighting it out to be chosen” says Alan Fontanilla, head of OPEN. “We are quite pleased that clients have recognized the added value that we can bring to the table.”

The December 2010 launch of OPEN in the Philippines follows the recent multi-country launch of other OPEN offices in London, Shanghai, Prague, Bangkok, Jakarta and Sao Paolo. As a new kind of agency network dedicated to the creation of innovative strategies and ideas that are tailor-made to the retail environment,
OPEN focuses on delivering big retail ideas, fuelled by a better understanding of how’s today’s shoppers choose between brands.
