Nokia files for Vibrating Tattoo Alert Patent

GLOBAL – MARCH 26, 2012: In places when you have to be very considerate of others, you set your phone on vibrate because you want to be notified still. But that may only work when you have your phone in your pocket or somewhere near you. How about taking that vibration feature to the next level?

Multinational mobile corporation, Nokia, is seeking a US patent for the technology that would trigger tattoos to vibrate when receiving calls and texts from people’s cellphones, or even when their batteries are running low.
The perceivable stimulus may be a vibration whose intensity could be modified depending on the form of file received or who sent it. The stimulus, which is a mixture of short and long pulsations, could be felt on the area of the tattoo made possible with ink composition having magnetic compounds.
This technology if pursued and supplemented with significant research could may be the answer to cellphone users who urgently need to be notified when people are contacting them increasing their efficiency to respond the soonest.
