Emmy-nominated director conducts HD workshops for TV5

PHILIPPINES, MAY 2011 – TV5 brings Emmy-nominated director and cinematographer Robert M. Goodman to the Philippines to conduct a series of high-definition (HD) production workshops for the engineers and camera crew of TV5 entertainment, news and public affairs from May 30 to June 3.

Goodman has authored Goodman’s Guide Series where he made it easy for engineers to comprehend very complicated HD camera manuals. In the last two decades, he has been contributing editor of The Independent Film and Video Monthly, Broadcast Television and DV, among others. He has also written for American Cinematographer and other industry-related publications. He also wrote important chapters of the 3rd edition of The American Society of Cinematographers’ Video Manual and co-authored Editing Digital Video, a bestseller about digital editing systems.

To be held at the TV5 studios in Novaliches, the series of trainings and workshops for TV5 employees will be at par with the workshops Goodman has already conducted in different film festivals all over the United States. He has given trainings on digital production in LA, New York, Portland, Atlanta and many others.

As TV5 is set to transfer to its newly constructed Media Center by the end of 2011, Goodman’s expertise in the field of HD production will be advantageous to the network crew and staff in manipulating and maximizing the ultramodern TV studios, radio booths and post production facilities.
