MANILA, PHILIPPINES – Rakuten Viber is leveling up the way brands connect with customers through the launch of two interactive messaging features – Carousel and List messages which were crafted to redefine how businesses engage users within the app.
These new tools are part of Viber’s growing suite of rich business messaging capabilities designed for smarter automation and better user interaction. The aim is to empower brands with more dynamic ways to present offers, collect responses and drive meaningful conversations.
Carousel messages allow businesses to send up to five scrollable cards in a single message—each one customizable with images, emojis, engaging text, and up to two call-to-action buttons. Whether it’s highlighting new arrivals, showcasing limited-time bundles, or pushing product recommendations, Carousel is a visually rich way to inspire customer action.
Why It Works:
- Creates a seamless, scrollable user experience
- Captures attention with high-impact media
- Drives conversions via direct links to online stores or landing pages

For brands that need quick feedback or streamlined actions, List messages are the perfect fit. These messages offer up to five predefined response options that users can simply tap – ideal for scenarios like booking confirmations, delivery scheduling, and collecting customer feedback.
Why it works:
- Enables fast, guided user replies
- Boosts engagement with tap-to-respond actions
- Cuts down on repetitive queries with automation

By integrating Carousel and List messages, Viber aims to help businesses go beyond simple texts. These allow brands to create personalized, interactive communication that feels natural and intuitive for their customers.
“It is our mission to be a super app for both users and businesses,” says Cristina Constandache, Chief Revenue Officer at Rakuten Viber. “To meet the needs of both, we are constantly evolving. Carousel and List messages are designed to match growing customer expectations for faster, more interactive, and automated digital experiences—and to help businesses drive sales.”
Carousel and List messages are currently rolling out to early adopters and will be available to all businesses globally in the coming weeks.
