The Immortal Awards launches call for entries for this year’s competition

LONDON, UK — The Immortal Awards has launched its call for entries for 2023’s competition. The entry system is now open to all Little Black Book members, who can make their submissions here until the final deadline on September 07.

Entry is as always free for all Little Black Book members, who may submit up to five projects per office into this year’s competition.

Following a successful return to in-person judging in 2022, all of the country-based juries from last year, which included days dedicated to the USA, Canada, the UK, Ireland, Germany, and a combined Australia-New Zealand jury, will return with the addition of more countries to be announced in the coming months.

The best work from each country-based round, as decided by the local juries, will qualify for the respective regional competition alongside the best work from the rest of the region. A series of regional jury days, North America, LATAM, Europe, MEA, and APAC, will then determine which projects receive Finalist status and qualify for the final, global round of judging.

A global grand jury, composed of jurors from each regional jury, will ultimately decide which projects, if any, will receive an Immortal Award or a Commendation in December 2023. The winners will be announced in January 2024.

In 2022, The Immortal Awards continued its upwards growth trajectory and saw a 35% increase in entries compared to the previous year, with more companies than ever before submitting work. Entries also came from more countries than ever before, cementing 2022 as a record-breaking year for the Immortals.

Just four projects were deemed Immortal by the global jury, with a further nine projects receiving Commendations for their exceptional creativity. The 13 projects are now being taken on a showcase tour, shown at cinemas and in-house at creative companies, inspiring creative teams all over the world.

Emma Wilkie, Awards Director, said, “Having joined the Immortals just in time for the final global judging in 2022 I’m super excited to be involved with the whole entry and judging process for the 2023 awards. I look forward to expanding our local jury program across the regions to enable as many countries as possible to have an in-person jury choose the best work that represents their country on a regional and global stage.”

Paul Monan, Awards Director, added, “Following a fantastic year of growth, not just numbers-wise – with more work from more companies – but the addition of Emma (Wilkie) to the team, we’re so excited to get this year’s competition going and see the Immortals grow further. The return to in-person judging elevated the level of debate last year, so I must thank each and every one of our partners for supporting the show and letting us bring the Immortals to life. Without their support, we simply wouldn’t be able to do what we do.”

Entries into The Immortal Awards will be accepted until September 07. All entries must be made for a commissioning client and must have first aired, broadcast, displayed, launched, or published between September 01 and August 31.
