Kanpai to a Dentsu Decade

THE PHILIPPINES, OCTOBER 14, 2011: Dentsu Philippines toasted to its tenth year in the business with a celebration entitled the Dentsu Decade at The Enterprise Center on October 13. The event brought together the agency’s clients and partner suppliers in an evening marked by live music and the awarding of the agency’s firsts.

Honored with red trophies that double as bookends were Nobuo Abe, the first employee; Toyota, the client for the agency’s first ad; Wilkins, the first pitch won; Unilab, the client for the agency’s first award, in the New York Festivals; and the Philippine Daily Inquirer for the first check paid to a supplier.

This year has been good for the agency in terms of business, according to Dentsu Philippines President Nonna Nañagas. Aware of the trends and goings-on in the industry, the agency has grown its events group, Dentsu Bento over the past two years. As the only multinational agency in the Philippines still fully integrated with media, Dentsu Philippines will move forward with digital under its media team to keep up with Dentsu Tokyo’s global leadership in the area.

Nañagas declared that the first decade is only the beginning: “We’re saying thank you for our partnership for the past ten years and to look forward to the next ten with them. We will continue to evolve and to meet their changing needs. Dentsu Philippines will continue to provide them with the same partnership and more integration in terms of the communication solutions that we will offer. We really look forward to the next ten years.”
