TODAY’S HOTSPOT: Nike

Last week, Nike and its agency Weiden+Kennedy unveiled a new commercial featuring Tiger Woods and the voice of his deceased father, Earl Woods, using recordings that appear as though he is addressing his son about his recent sex scandal.

At the end of the spot, the senior Wood’s voice asks, "Did you learn anything?"

In a short time, the ad has become controversial, and consequently, viral. Finding the original video of this ad on YouTube is nearly impossible, because it has spawned so many parodies. People, it seems, do not like this ad at all.

However, Nike continues to stand by its man. In a statement, the advertiser said, "We support Tiger and his family. As he returns to competitive golf, the ad addresses his time away from the game using the powerful words of his father."

What about you? Does this ad make you reaffirm your support for this fallen idol?
