Digital Asia Festival ramps up speaker lineup

CHINA, OCTOBER 15, 2012 – Digital Asia Festival announces speakers to add to this year’s lineup. 

 
Paul John Pena, Leo Burnett Manila’s chief digital officer, will share his thoughts on ‘The elephant in the room’. He is one of the youngest digital media practitioners to assume an executive role in the Philippines, with extensive experience in digital marketing, social media strategy and integrated digital activation under his belt. And in his presentation, he will be addressing the ethical slough facing the digital industry today, such as paying for Tweets.
 
Patrick Rona, President of Tribal DDB APAC and Chief Digital Officer of DDB Group Asia Pacific will be joining Andrew Knott as one of the key partners to McDonald’s long term strategy. Rona will share the ways they are using digital in the presentation ‘Banners to business: How McDonald’s is using digital as a strategic platform for growth’.
 
Andrew Knott, Vice President Digital, Andrew Knott, McDonald’s APMEA, will be presenting ‘Banners to business: How McDonald’s is using digital as a strategic platform for growth’ along with Rona. With a career spanning over 20 years, Knott will discuss how McDonald’s has developed a long term strategy to bring digital into the heart of the business for the last year or so.
 
James Welch, Regional Director, Asia Pacific, Media Innovation Group, will present regional case studies in ‘The future of digital is divisible by the seven simple tenets’. In this talk, Welch will bring technology and old-world media closer to develop the creative process.
 
Paul Gage, Regional Strategy & Innovations Director, APAC, iris Worldwide, will be presenting, along with James Welch, ‘The future of digital is divisible by the seven simple tenets’. Both Welch and Gage will bring to life the seven simple tenets needed to succeed in today’s world of data-driven digital communications.
 
The Digital Asia Festival will be held at the Grand Millenium Beijing, China on November 7-8, 2012.
