LG Electronics aims to create the perfect picture in 2013

MANILA – September 30, 2013 – From home entertainment to mobile devices, LG Electronics has been striving to create the perfect picture in 2013, launching picture quality displays such as the 84-inch Ultra HD TV and the LG G2.
 
LG introduced the world’s first 84-inch Ultra HD TV, which boasts of picture quality four times higher than Full HD with 8.3 million pixels. With an extensive range of colors and impressive degree of picture accuracy, the Ultra HD TV gives a lifelike, enthralling viewing experience, LG said in a press release.
 
As for the sound experience, the TV’s 50W audio bursting from a 2.2 speaker system likewise brings depth and liveliness to one’s ears.
 
LG also pioneered the world’s first 55-inch OLED TV or Organic LED (Light Emitting Diode). Its features include outstanding picture and sound quality. encased in a slim 4mm width and light 10kg weight. 
 
The OLED technology does away with the need for backlights, thus reducing power consumption and distortions even at extreme angles. LG OLED TV also combines the company’s industry-leading CINEMA 3D technology with Smart TV capabilities.
 
LG also released the world’s first Curved OLED TV, a 55-inch wide and 4.3mm thick TV, allowing the viewer to enjoy the immersive IMAX experience in the comfort of home. 
 
With its concave shape, the content display brings images to life. Its major highlights include: four Color Pixel (white, red, green, and blue or WRGB technology), which displays eight million colors for more true-to-life accuracy; improved Motion Clarity with a response time approximately 100 times faster than conventional LED TVs; Infinite Contrast, which displays deep colors from blazing white to darkest black; and the Viewing Angle of the curvature, which eliminates screen-edge visual distortion and loss of detail.
 
Apart from TVs, LG also has two premium smartphone models, the G2 and the Optimus G Pro, which offer both high picture quality and an expansive viewing experience.
 
Stuff.tv has called the LG G2 the “best smartphone in the world.” It has a 5.2-inch Full HD IPS display, which LG said is "the largest display designed for one-handed operation in today’s popular 2.7-inch category." The LG G2’s industry firsts include a camera with Full HD, 13 megapixels; Optical Image Stabilization for extremely clear, bright, and sharp images; and 8X Digital Zoom and 9 Multi-Point Auto-Focus.
 
In the phablet spectrum is LG Optimus G Pro, which also has Full HD and a 13MP camera, but a 5.5-inch IPS display. It also pioneered special camera features such as the VR Panorama for all-encompassing photos and Pause and Resume Recording for polished videos.
 
For their picture quality, LG products have received various international honors.  The THX® display-certified LG Curved OLED TV won the “Best of the Best” prize at the Red Dot Design Award. 
 
Meanwhile, the LG 84-inch Ultra HD TV scored certification from Underwriter Laboratories, which rigorously measures the energy-efficiency, viewing angle, contrast consistency, color accuracy, and 3D performance of a TV display.  
 
The same product bagged the Best Picture Quality Technology Award at the China Digital TV Forum. The LG Optimus G Pro smartphone won “Best LTE Device” at the LTE World Summit 2013.
