TBWASMP’s t of awards

THE PHILIPPINES, SEPTEMBER 24, 2012 – TBWA\SantiagoMangada Puno, garnered 1 Gold, 2 Silvers and 1 Bronze metals at the recently concluded Spikes Asia 2012.
 
The ad agency, in partnership with Revolver Studios, acquired Gold and Silver metals with Energizer’s ‘ t of Life’ in the Film Craft category.
 
The campaign was done in partnership with Manikako, a non-profit organization that teaches unfortunate children to make their own dolls from recycled materials. In order to do this, they needed volunteers.
 
Energizer Philippines funded a web film, t of Life, to reach their target: Filipino youth who are glued to the internet. Told without words, the film’s universal message of love and sacrifice touched the world over, regardless of age, culture and background.

Art that cleans the air
  
How can cleaning the air be made fun and relevant to city life? TBWA\SantiagoMangadaPuno’s ‘Project Edsa’ campaign for Pacific Paint Philippines seems to have found the right solution, winning Silver in the Media category.
 
The Philippines’ first curated public art initiative, Boysen teamed up with artists from all over the globe to paint giant murals along 24 kilometers of EDSA’s walls using Boysen KNOxOUT – a revolutionary smog-eating paint. To be effective, each of the eight artists would use 1,000 square meters of wall as their canvas. 
 
So far, the finished murals can already be accredited to a 20% reduction in air pollution. The project is expected to finish in 2013 when 8,000 square-meters of walls would’ve been painted with KNOxOUT, which is equivalent to planting 8,000 trees.

The agency also garnered the Bronze metal in the Film category for Suyen Corporation’s ‘Kontrabida 101 (Bella, Still a Villain at 84)’, which was done in partnership with Straight Shooters Media.
