True Fantasy Football arrives on Philippine TV

MANILA, JANUARY 30, 2013 – Tune in to KIX, the ultimate action entertainment channel, as it brings the Lingerie Football League to Filipino audiences. Beautiful, tough, and very talented women athletes play tackle American football in nothing but bras, panties, garters, shoulder pads and helmets.

Lingerie Football League started as a Super Bowl halftime television special called "Lingerie Bowl" in 2009. Today, NBC Sports calls it the “fastest growing sports league in the United States”. It has also drawn record television ratings for its US broadcaster.

The LFL women athletes have played to sold-out crowds across the US. The twelve US franchises include teams such as the 3-time champion Los Angeles Temptation, Las Vegas Sin, and Atlanta Steam—all of whom have built an incredible international fan base. The enormous international audience of LFL Football led to the formation and launch of LFL Canada in 2012 followed by the premiere of LFL Australia in2013 and LFL Europa in 2015.

In comparison to now billion-dollar popular sports franchises, through their first three seasons of operation, the LFL has achieved far more national television viewership, attendance, and growth. The LFL is also the first-ever women’s sport to have attracted its own video game, set for release in 2015.

You can catch the powerful, beautiful women of the LFL Canada teams, BC Angels, Regina Rage, Saskatoon Sirens, and Toronto Triumph, in action on KIX (Channel 63 on Skycable; channel 10 on Globe Destiny Cable, channel 220 on Cable link) every Sunday, 10:30pm.
