PHILIPPINES, OCTOBER 19, 2010 – GMA Network retained its lead in weekend primetime Mega Manila TV ratings in September 2010, according to Nielsen TV Audience Measurement.
The network took seven of the top ten weekend programs in Mega Manila, with GMA News and Public Affairs’ Imbestigador (12.5 points) and Kapuso Mo Jessica Soho (11.9 points) taking the top two spots, followed by GMA’s original and first reality sitcom Pepito Manaloto with 10.8 points and Kap’s Amazing Stories with 10.6 points.
While claiming leadership in its timeslot, TV5’s Talentadong Pinoy was only at number five with an average of 10.1 points in September.
Other GMA-produced shows that made it to the top 10 include Mel and Joey, 24 Oras Weekend, and Jejemom. Its child-friendly programming as it has led all TV channels in viewership among kids from two to 12 years old in the morning block since August. GMA has also been the lead pick for programming in the afternoons since April to date.
Meanwhile, rival network ABS-CBN claimed nine out of the top ten most-watched programs nationwide for September based on data from Kantar Media ratings, asserting its nationwide lead on weekends as well.
