SourceEcreative ad database now available in over 50 languages

GLOBAL – BOCA RATON, FLORIDA, USA, DECEMBER 2011: SourceEcreative, the ad industry’s leading online database and archive of commercials and advertising content from around the world, has implemented Google’s translation tool to offer instant online translations of all of its content in 53 languages.
 
The translation process takes place throughout a user’s entire session on the subscription-only resource site, regardless of how many pages are viewed.
 
SourceEcreative provides up-to-the-minute information on TV spots and ad content, production and post production resources, agency creative and production rosters and project credits to a user base of thousands of companies worldwide.  The company is a unit of Dallas-based DG, a leading provider of digital media services to the advertising, entertainment and broadcast industries.
 
“The advertising industry has become a global business, and all of our metrics underscore that,” says Pamela Maythenyi, founder of SourceEcreative and senior vice president of DG.  “Of the ten top countries where our clients are based, nine are in Asia, Latin America and Africa.  We have registered users in 84 countries who collectively view five million TV commercials annually on our site.”
 
Now SourceEcreative users can check their TV spot credits in anything from Afrikaans to Portuguese, with a few stops in between. The translate function includes Hindi, Japanese, Korean, Malay and a host of other languages. Users will be able to instantly translate SourceEcreative’s latest news and profile articles on top companies and trends in the ad industry, as well as have access to the site’s popular series of Special Feature editorial sections.
 
To utilize the new feature, users should look for the “Select Language” drop down in the upper right hand corner of any SourceEcreative web page, click the pull-down menu and choose a language.
 
Earlier this year, SourceEcreative added a section to its popular TV commercial search function that allows users to search by global ad awards shows, allowing instant access to globally-recognized examples of innovation and effectiveness. 
 
Among the shows searchable on SourceEcreative are Spikes and ADFEST from Asia, FIAP from Latin America, D&AD and The APA Show from the UK,Goafest from India and Dubai Lynx from the Middle East, along with such US based shows as Clio and The One Show as well as the Cannes Lions Festival.
