Leo Burnett & Arc announces new digital director for APAC

ASIA-PACIFIC – SINGAPORE, AUGUST 25, 2010 – Leo Burnett and Arc announced today the  appointment of Neil Hudspeth to Regional Digital Director, Asia Pacific. To be based in Singapore, Hudspeth will helm Leo Burnett and Arc’s digital practice across the region including Japan and Australia with a focus on digital business development as well as growth through acquisitions. 
 
Hudspeth joins Leo Burnett from Hewlett-Packard (HP) where he was the head of digital and brand strategy, Asia Pacific and Japan.
 
“Digital is a key pillar of growth for Leo Burnett and Arc in APAC and over the course of this year; we have made several strategic appointments to build up our digital capabilities across the region. Neil’s appointment represents an important piece of the puzzle as we continue to strengthen our competencies in this space,” said Jarek Ziebinski, President, Leo Burnett and Arc Asia Pacific.
 
Elaborating on Hudspeth’s role and focus, Ziebinski continued,” Neil and I will work closely together to further digitize our network and create aggressive digital growth strategy for APAC including acquisitions in selected markets.” 
 
Hudspeth has spent over twenty three years in Asia Pacific, and over the course of his long career spanning four continents, he has been driven by his passion for brand, and the power it brings to help shape the way all businesses perform, engage and evolve. Since 1995, when he established a global digital brand consultancy in London, he has also been a leading advocate on digital brand experiences.
 
As the CEO Asia Pacific for WPP’s The Brand Union based in China, Neil has helped counsel a diverse spectrum of clients and industries to achieve brand and business success. Clients have included Nissan, Hino, Seiko, Coca Cola, Capitaland, China Mobile, Motorola, Telkom Indonesia, ICBC, Shanghai Pudong Development Bank, Masterfoods, Pernod Ricard, Apple, Gamania, Dyson, Messagelabs, Microsoft, and HP.

Most recently at HP as head of strategy, Asia Pacific and Japan, Hudspeth’s responsibilities included developing global and regional digital strategies, building brand value through digital ecosystems, implementing digital innovation and building an APJ Digital Centre of Excellence.
 
Earlier this month, Leo Burnett announced the appointment of Suresh Ramaswamy to director, digital business for the Singapore and Malaysia markets. In addition to Ramaswamy, Leo Burnett Group Singapore also added several new hires to the digital team including Olivier Woods as Digital Account Manager, Radha Chandramohan as Database Executive, Viknesk Muniandy as Software Developer and Latika Israni as Group Account Director.
