Tein, Ding join DDB China Group to boost its business and planning-focus for McDonald’s

ASIA-PACIFIC – CHINA, AUGUST 30, 2013 – DDB China Group has appointed Zae Tein (left) and Karen Ding (right) as business director and digital planner on the McDonald’s digital business, respectively.

Based in Shanghai, Tein boards the Tribal Worldwide Shanghai team – DDB’s digital operation and will report to Craig Lonnee, chief development officer.. She is tasked to oversee digital marketing for McDonald’s account and further boost delivery of best in class and innovative creative business solutions.

In the newly created role of digital planner, Ding will support Tein on McDonald’s business. Before DDB, Ding has worked for Mindshare and PHD’s digital planning. She has managed accounts for Nike and Unilever.

“Zae’s varied experience in both account servicing and planning in multiple disciplines across traditional and digital will add as bench strength to our team here on McDonald’s. I am certain both Zae and Karen will add great value to the existing team and business,” said Jit Ng, DDB Group North China and MD of DDB Group Shanghai vice president.

Prior to Zae’s appointment, her advertising career spans across B2C and B2B blue-chip clients, including DHL, Qualcomm, Canon, J&J Healthcare, P&G and DBS bank. Her portfolio includes several EFFIE wins with her integral role in creating effective bridges between brands and people.
