Philippine DSL provider goes bananas with viral TVC

THE PHILIPPINES, FEBRUARY 20, 2012: Proving that mothers are always the best and number one fans, local digital subscriber line PLDT MyDSL’s TVC “Anna Banana” shares the story of a modern version of a stage mom. Toting the tag line “high-speed plans for high-speed streaming”, the commercial is about young Derek Lorenzo, who takes a video of himself singing about his love for Anna, and his mother Mrs. Lorenzo who watches the said video to hike up the “hits” of the video. 

Combining for over 300,000 views in two weeks through the official “Anna Banana” YouTube channel, the TVC is a “product of the blurred lines between teams and a rare unconditional collaboration between creative directors,” said Trixie Diyco, one of the ad’s creative directors, in her blog.
