Campaign Spotlight: Y&R Philippines makes fueling up more fun with the Caltex Liter Lottery

MANILA – Metro Manila traffic is infamous as being one of the worst examples worldwide. It has therefore been a dilemma for gas companies to encourage drivers to fill their tanks full.

To increase purchase of Caltex fuels, Caltex and Y&R Philippines launched the Liter Lottery promo.

  1. Fill your tank with any Caltex fuel
  2. Wait for the liter meter to automatically come to a full stop
  3. If the last number on the liter meter and your plate match, YOUR GAS IS FREE!

Mounted in 72 stations across the country, the promo not only created buzz for Caltex in the form of 1.1 billion impressions online. It also sparked a 233% spike in full tank purchases at Caltex stations and increased total Caltex fuel sales by an amazing 198%.

Going through traffic can be a most unpleasant and unproductive experience, but thanks to campaigns like the Caltex Liter Lottery, there’s a possibility to have a little fun in the midst of that chaos.
