Brands do away with tearjerker animal ads for Super Bowl 50

USA – Year by year, American football fans await one of the biggest sporting events in the world, the Super Bowl. But aside from the action-packed matches, there’s another thing that people look forward to see playing on the field, namely, the ads.

Since the cost to air a 30-second commercial in the Super Bowl is about $4 million, brands and advertising agencies only put forth the best of the best for the event. Every year, the ads try to either tickle our funny bone or cause people’s tear ducts to cry.

If not Hollywood actors and actresses, Super Bowl ads are known to showcase animals, especially dogs, as stars of the show. This year, seven brands have released teasers starring some of our furry friends but surprisingly, no tearjerker ads this time around.
