Music: Syn presents new collection of multi-genre music collection Made In Japan, two-year long recording and producing project now available

TOKYO, JAPAN – Made In Japan is a new collection of music produced and recorded by Syn and available for commercial licensing to clients in advertising, film, TV and other media. The process and journey of sourcing, curating and recording this collection of over 50 tracks took over two years, and the collection represents a diverse and eclectic expression of Japanese music and musicians using traditional instruments with more electronic hybrid scores.

Recorded and mixed at Syn Studios Tokyo using some of Japan’s best musicians, this modern collection of Japanese music takes listeners on a unique journey from hip hop, electronic, zen meditation, J-pop vocals to dark mysterious and dramatic – all with a distinctly contemporary edge. You can see a compilation of some of the recordings here.

The project and resulting collection is inspired by Syn’s Tokyo headquarters and Co-Founder/Chief Creative Director Nick Wood’s experience with and passion for his adopted home. It’s an epic love letter to Japanese culture and music, made to be shared with the world.

The popularity and influence of Japanese culture can be increasingly seen in film, television and advertising,” explains Wood, “and we wanted to further expose people to the diverse range of styles and incredible artists present in Japanese music. Bringing our network together to create this series over the course of a few years was incredible and we are excited to finally share it with clients.”

Made In Japan is currently available for licensing through Syn, an award-winning music agency and creative solution with locations in Tokyo, London, Los Angeles, Beijing and Manila. In addition to licensing Made In Japan and other collections, Syn provides recording, music strategy, composition, sound design and sonic branding for advertising, cinema and television.
