Brand & Business: PayMaya powers Public Safety Mutual Benefit Fund digital disbursements

MANILA, PHILIPPINES — Uniformed personnel and civilian members of the Public Safety Mutual Benefit Fund, Inc. (PSMBFI) will soon be able to receive their loan proceeds and insurance claims via PayMaya.

This move is in line with the Association’s thrust to provide safer, faster, and more convenient services to its over 200,000 members across the country.

PSMBFI is one of the biggest non-stock, non-profit insurance providers and mutual benefit fund managers of the Philippine National Police (PNP), Bureau of Immigration, Bureau of Corrections, Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA), and Land Transportation Office, among others.

The Public Safety Mutual Benefit Fund (PSMBF) teams up with PayMaya to safely and conveniently disburse loan proceeds and insurance claims to its members.

“Having PayMaya’s Payout Portal as our platform assures us that we can deliver our members’ loan proceeds and insurance claims on time, securely, and conveniently. In turn, this initiative will give them peace of mind while they serve at the frontlines, thanks to PayMaya’s features such as real-time notifications, app transaction history, and reliability,” he added.

For his part, Orlando Vea, PayMaya Founder and CEO, said: “We are proud to work with an organization like PSMBFI that looks after the welfare of our uniformed personnel and civilian frontliners. Beyond disbursements, PayMaya can unlock the digital life for PSMBFI members, enabling them to go cashless for everyday transactions.”

PSMBFI members can use the funds they receive via the PayMaya app for their everyday financial transactions, such as sending money to their loved ones, paying for utility bills, shopping for essentials, buying telco load, and many more. Meanwhile, members can also conveniently encash their funds at over 57,000 Smart Padala outlets nationwide, mainly their neighborhood sari-sari stores.
