Leo Burnett Chicago and Psyop show off some “Stuff” for Norton

CHICAGO, SEPTEMBER 21,2011: Veering away from the usual high-tech, metal plated ads on technology, world-renowned anti-virus brand Norton gave its services a fun take with a new TVC. Crafted by Leo Burnett Chicago, “Stuff Anthem” is a colorful concoction of cute cartoons, well-placed iconic representations, and even a decent play on words.

Cute look for a fierce anti-virus

The ad begins with a character playing the role of an average guy, living out many of the seemingly ordinary experiences that people go through with their gadgets. That is until he meets the love of his (virtual) life. moves in with her, and enjoys a slice of happily ever after. However, the main character discovers that all’s not roses when what seemed to be viruses went all out to steal his identity, money, and the rest of the virtual information he has stored in his devices.

“Stuff Anthem” was produced by design and animation studio Psyop. The spot is also the first spot that Psyop Creative Director Fletcher Moules has worked on since joining Psyop’s Venice, California office. Moules co-directed the spot with Psyop’s Laurent Ledru.
