Powerbooks appoints ideasXmachina, DentsuIndio

Independent shop ideasXmachina has won its first-ever pitch — in its first week of formally holding office. They are now the official creative agency of prestige bookstore PowerBooks. The business was won in a pitch vs. O&M, the freelance team of Lilit Reyes and Dino Jalandoni, and DentsuIndio.  The latter was awarded the pitch’s digital and customer loyalty projects. 

iXm, as the new agency is called for short, is run by three creative directors (Third Domingo and Evans Sator, both ex-big-agency) and their valiant suit, Florence Santos-Reyes. According to Domingo, “PowerBooks is a perfect addition to ideasXmachina’s growing list of clients.”  More on iXm here.

With book and bookstore campaigns a staple of regional award shows, the bar is high. Can iXm’s ingenious creative lure book buyers away from the glamour of FullyBooked and the convenience of amazon.com? We’ll find out.
