Carat Philippines bags CDO Foodsphere without a pitch

THE PHILIPPINES, AUGUST 10, 2012: Carat Philippines has bagged the agency-of-record assignment for CDO Foodsphere, Inc, one of the country’s largest food manufacturers behind household names such as Highlands Corned Beef and San Marino.
Carat won the business through an “initiative pitch”, which saw the agency’s revitalized team make a series of presentations on its own initiative. 
The presentations featured the agency’s strategic plans, comprehensive consumer insight and research capabilities, optimization technologies and the strength of its organization and the Aegis Network.
“We are a revitalized agency and have gone out knocking on doors to show our credentials. We are able to show advertisers in concrete terms the benefits they can derive through our media optimization tool,” said Carat CEO Angelito ‘BoyP’ Pangilinan.
One of several senior hires the Aegis shop made last year-end to drive local growth, Pangilinan described the win as a major affirmation of the revitalized Carat Philippines, especially since the assignment came from a top advertiser with a sophisticated marketing and advertising organization.
CDO Foodsphere is one of the country’s top advertisers, with market leading brands such as CDO Karne Norte, San Marina Corned Tuna, Bibbo Hotdogs, Highlands Corned Beef and many more, and is increasingly extending its digital marketing footprint.
