Viber becomes a #PartnerForChange with #ViberForChange Sticker Pack

by Denice de Guzman

TAGUIG – Last July 21, Viber recognized its impact on the way Filipinos communicate as it celebrated its 25 million Filipino registered users with new uniquely Filipino sticker packs. Partnering with the Presidential Communications Office, the communications app launched the #ViberForChange sticker pack, featuring popular slang and social media memes, in time for the first State Of The Nation Address.

The sticker pack bears cute images of President Rodrigo Duterte with uniquely Filipino expressions such as “Change is Here”, “Aprub Yan!’, “Daghang Salamat!” and “Just DU it!” Viber has become a household name with Filipinos when it comes to communicating both with family members and in business, with stickers being one of its most used features – according to Viber, Filipinos send over 44 million stickers through messaging and group chats. Its stickers are available for download through the Viber Sticker Market.

“We truly appreciate the overwhelming and continued support from our Filipino users and we’re committed to making Viber even better through local content and partnerships that celebrate and empower Filipinos and be part of their daily lives,” said Crystal Gonzalez, the Viber Regional Head for Southeast Asia.

Viber also launched the Presidential Communications Office Public Chat, which allows the presidential team to connect directly with its Filipino audience. Filipinos now have a direct line to the presidential office through Viber’s “fun, expressive and secure” communications app, and are made aware of official news and announcements on how to be a #PartnerForChange.

Aside from the #ViberForChange sticker pack, Viber also collaborated with the country’s most-awarded male recording artist, Gary Valenciano, on the #GVonViber sticker pack. Lauded for the timeless ‘hugot lines’ in his songs, the Gary V. stickers feature stickers with his iconic song titles such as “Hataw Na!”, “Di Bale Na Lang”, “Sana Maulit Muli”, and “Eto Na Naman”, among others. The public can also follow Gary V.’s public chat for behind-the-scenes conversations with Mr. Pure Energy’s family and friends.

Viber also officially opened its doors for brand partnerships in the Philippines. Branded stickers and Public Chat accounts are now available for partnerships, allowing local companies to reach millions of Filipino Viber users here and abroad. For partnerships, brands can email sea@viber.com
