This week’s round of campaigns invites you to go off the wall, embrace the toughest challenges, and more

MANILA, PHILIPPINES — The creative industry is brimming with tons of amazing ideas, so it’s no surprise that there’s never a shortage of great campaigns to admire and celebrate.

From gripping stories and new perspectives that embody what a brand stands for to new fun ways people can engage with a brand, here are campaigns that caught adobo Magazine’s eye this week:

Fancy a McDonald’s this holiday?

The McDonald’s “Raise Your Arches” campaign was a huge hit, so it’s no surprise that the fast food chain and Leo Burnett UK built on it for this holiday season. What starts as a small — but enthusiastically received — suggestion from a friend at a dull Christmas party quickly snowballs into something bigger. From vague text invitations and subtle raises of eyebrows to people dashing out of doors, more and more people ditch their mundane-to-terrible holiday activities to head to a McDonald’s

The beauty of off-the-wall creativity

What does it take to be a creative? A huge part of it boils down to being true to your authentic, off-the-wall self. Drawing on this, for Vans’ #THISISOFFTHEWALL campaign, the brand featured three artists — pop culture multi-hyphenate Sharlene San Pedro, visual artist Raco Ruiz, and musician Syd Hartha — in short spots where they talk about their artistic journey and how self-expression factors into how their careers have blossomed.

Building a better shared future for Singapore

To further build on Forward Singapore’s goal of rallying Singaporeans from all walks of life to do their part in refreshing Singapore’s social compact, the collaborative launched a series of films by Dentsu Creative that embody the ways that people can progress toward that goal. The heartfelt films reimagine the human experience of success, aging, community, and more and show the possibilities that open up that come with enriching a country’s perspectives of and attitude towards these.

Embracing the chill this winter

As the winter brings in the hardships and uncertainties that come with cold, The North Face goes ahead and flips the narrative. The brand has always celebrated the experiences you can thrive in when you step outdoors, and that doesn’t stop for any season. In its latest campaign by FRED & FARID Shanghai, The North Face strengthens its call to adventure as it invites people to embrace the winter and the challenges that it brings. After all, a new horizon always awaits on the other side.
