ASIA-PACIFIC – THAILAND, APRIL 2011 – MRM Thailand, McCann Worldgroup’s digital and direct full service agency, has announced a series of promotions including the appointment of Jackie Wang who will be taking over MRM Thailand as General Manager with immediate effect.
Wang has a long association with McCann Worldgroup, having first worked in the San Francisco office for nearly four years, leading to her appointment as the Business Director for MRM in Thailand early last year. She has extensive experience in integrated marketing and has worked on a broad range of clients, across geographies. Her current portfolio includes Microsoft, Unilever, Thai Military Bank and Tourism Authority of Thailand, among others.
Joining Jackie in the senior leadership role of Creative Director will be Supachai Toemtechatpong, who will move over from McCann Erickson in Thailand to take up this new assignment with MRM Thailand. Toemtechatpong has been with McCann Erickson since 2008. Having started his career with TBWA in Bangkok as an Art Director, Toemtechatpong proceeded to augment his experience through stints with other international agencies. During his time in advertising, he has won a slew of local and international awards and currently lends his creative expertise to numerous clients including Nestle, MasterCard, Durex and IP Group.
Commenting on the promotions, CEO of Worldgroup Thailand, Monica White said: “These recent appointments illustrate the depth of skill we have here at MRM in Thailand as well as being a very real representation of the commitment we have to nurturing the careers of high performing and loyal employees.”
White continues, “Following the recent departure of previous members of staff we obviously needed to review MRM’s client teams. This has enabled the next generation of bright new stars in the agency to shine through and as a result we remain well equipped to ensure a high level of service to our clients, whilst providing a great place to work for our employees.”
The announcement comes further to the termination of the employment of Jinn Powprapai, the former Managing Director of MRM Thailand, due to breach of contract.
