The Moonshot Challenge is meant for anyone in the region who wants to make a positive impact in the world. The workshop calls out to creatives,  tech innovators, entrepreneurs, scientists, marketers…and dreamers… to see how the power of creativity combined with technology can lead to clever and amazing ideas that can change the world.

BBH wanted to address two main challenges with the Moonshot Challenge.

The first, prioritizing an untapped territory: combining creativity and technology to create social good. And secondly, sustaining our industry’s 50/50 gender diversity ambition. As technology becomes a crucial part of our business, will women be at the forefront of leadership and change.

Said Dillah Zakbah, Creative Technologist, BBH Singapore: “The Moonshot Challenge is about an opportunity to kickstart ideas and award the best ones that solve real ‘pain points’ in a thriving tech business. Other than providing inspiring examples we want to help bring women into tech and have access to mentorship, guidance and funding to bring their ideas to life with a big bang!

Said Faraaz Marghoob, Director, Zag at BBH Singapore: “I see The Moonshot Challenge as an initiative which promotes the creative application of technology for good – as the start of a new breed of tech-savvy NGOs that put purpose above profit when assessing the immense potential of technology in future,”

The Moonshot Challenge is a 3-month Long acceleration program. BBH together with Women in Tech will work with the winning idea/s to develop a strategy, fine tune the creative concept, identify the right partners and raise funding to bring the ideas to market.

The Moonshot Challenge brief includes a challenge to:
  • Submit a novel technology solution that improves a solution to improve the quality of life for Singapore’s rapid ageing population.
  • Submit an app or digital service idea that will improve the quality of life of the region’s poorest 25%
  • Wild Card! Submit a novel technology solution that addresses any social cause that you are passionate about
