OMD Melbourne announces new Strategy and Content Head

ASIA-PACIFIC – SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA, JUNE 21, 2011 – Media strategy, planning and buying company OMD Melbourne has appointed Sharon Cookson, as the new Head of Strategy and Content. This appointment follows a restructure of their strategy, branded content and social media divisions into a broader strategic  community which will come under Cookson’s direction. 
 
“Sharon has a proven history of building businesses including OMD Fuse Melbourne, so it was an obvious choice given her strong strategic and business background”  said Managing Director, Steve Sinha.  “Her appointment fits with our commitment to delivering world class strategic advice including effective engagement strategies for our clients. Cookson was Director of the agency’s branded content arm Fuse in Melbourne for three years after relocating from Auckland, where she was Managing Partner of ZenithOptimedia.
