ASIA-PACIFIC – SINGAPORE, 15 JUNE 2011 – JayGrey Sydney has appointed Tommy Cehak as Art Director and Gavin Chimes as Copywriter.
Though still fresh to the industry, the duo has begun to be noticed in the industry, with recognitions already coming from AWARD, Caples and ADMA.
Having completed a degree in design from the College of Fine Arts, Cehak practiced as an object designer before enrolling in AWARD School. There, he met Chimes, a journalism graduate, working as a social media coordinator at Amnesia Razorfish, a local digital agency. After teaming up, the duo landed an internship at 303 Advertising before moving on to M&C Saatchi / Mark.
Jay Furby, Creative Director, JayGrey Sydney, said, “Most people write comments about how great their hires are before they have even started. Well, these boys have started and they are already great.”
He added, “It is great to work with people who have lots of enthusiasm for the world’s biggest navel gazing profession and they are unaffected still. We could not have hoped for a better team to drive our client’s business forward and make every day shine. If I am wrong I will eat their bone marrow.”
Earlier this June, the agency announced the appointment of Claudia McInerney who joined as a Group Account Director and Amy Cadwallader as Senior Planner.
